As part of the Pathways to Nature project, we organized a Focus Group Training Course in Murcia, Spain, in January 2025. The goal was to strengthen local evaluation capacity by preparing one representative from each core youth leader team to facilitate focus group evaluations within their local communities.

This intensive 3-day course provided practical and theoretical tools on how to conduct meaningful focus group discussions. Participants explored methods for assessing project outcomes, fostering open dialogue, and creating safe, welcoming environments where young people felt comfortable sharing their thoughts and emotions.
The training also covered group dynamics, strategies for navigating sensitive conversations, and techniques for encouraging honest and constructive feedback.

After completing the course, youth leaders returned to their home countries and implemented local focus groups with their teams. The findings from these sessions contributed significantly to evaluating the project’s impact and shaping future youth-led activities.
